Youth Ministries

WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY
Sundays at 10am and Wednesdays at 7pm. We study a broad range of topics and books of the Bible, trying to discover how to apply scripture to our lives. Some studies we have recently done include: Christianity, Culture, and the Lord’s Prayer; The Gospel According to Forest Gump; Calling for Revolution (minor prophets and social justice); and Understanding the Psalms.mmm08.jpg

MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

Our students have the opportunity to engage in at least one mission experience every month. We have helped out at the Stewart Center in Reynoldstown, served dinner to our homeless neighbors, sang Christmas carols to the Sheperd Spinal Center patients, and made dinner for guests for the Ronald McDonald House. We also participate in a full weekend of missions through March Mission Madness in the spring of each year. In 2008, MMM was held in Macon from Feb.29-March 1.

YOUTH WEEKYouth Week 2007
Who can’t use a week of fun before school starts back?! During youth week, we have a planned activity every day of the week including a time of devotion/reflection. Last year we went to Malibu Grand Prix, had a Mexican and Movie Night, and a pool party. The week ends with a fierce and exciting competition - “The Amazing Race”!

JUST FOR FUN!
Some of the ways we have fun together include: Lock-Ins, Movie Nights, the Annual Corn Maze Adventure, in home fellowships, Games Nights, etc.

PASSPORT SUMMER YOUTH CAMPpassways.jpg
Each summer we take a group of students to Passport youth camp for a week of Bible Study, mission work, and lots of fun. Next year’s camp will be June 21-26 at Mercer University in Macon. See the website for more details: http://www.passportcamps.org/2009/home/index.html
