Worship
The Peachtree Baptist Church family gathers for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM. Our vision statement communicates our desire to ìworship God as Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer by acknowledging divine mystery, edifying the gathered body of believers, and transforming lives through response to divine revelation.î With that in mind, worship at Peachtree is scripturally driven, musically paced, and reflective of the warmth and inclusiveness that characterizes our congregation.
A worship service at Peachtree Baptist will involve hearing the word of God read and proclaimed, singing hymns and songs of faith accompanied by the pipe organ and piano, being led in worship by the Sanctuary Choir and/or various other musical groups, and hearing the call to respond to the voice of God both individually and corporately. Communion is celebrated once a month, typically on the last Sunday. We invite all to participate, believing that the call to table is extended by the Almighty and left to the individual to choose to respond.
If you are visiting Peachtree Baptist Church, it is our sincere desire to welcome you with warmth and hospitality. Not only will you receive personal greetings from our congregation, but the worship order is designed to allow everyone to participate fully in the service, regardless of faith background. We hope that you have a meaningful worship experience here.
Special Worship Emphasis
In the months of October and November, Peachtree will be focusing on Faith and the Environment. Our services will be centered around the call of God to be good stewards of creation, and what the implications are for people of faith. This emphasis will extend beyond the worship hour to Bible studies and ministry projects in our church and in the community as we seek ways to live out our faith in the world.
