Peachtree Mission & Ministry Partnerships
Andrew P. Stewart Center
The Stewart Center strives to empower the members of our community who do not have the necessary resources to meet their own physical, mental or spiritual needs by providing holistic, relationship-based programs. We have been partnering with the Stewart Center for years through our Women on Mission groups & various church-wide volunteer projects.
Atlanta Metro Baptist Association
Our partnership with the AMBA is a way that we can more effectively support the work of mission organizations working and serving throughout our city. The Association seeks to help network and partner churches together to be missional neighbors to our global communities.
Baptist Women in Ministry
While Peachtree has been a supportive and encouraging place for women in ministry, opportunities in Baptist life are somewhat limited for women called into the ministry. We support the work of BWIM as they are a catalyst for women and men called into ministry, seeking to provide support, education, and opportunities both for women and churches seeking to understand more about women in ministry.
Baptist World Alliance
Over 100 years old, the Baptist World Alliance fellowship consists of over 200 conventions and unions throughout the world. Their mission is to network the Baptist family to impact the world for Christ. This is one of our most exciting partnerships.
Buckhead Christian Ministries
BCM is a faith-based, non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance to individuals and families of all backgrounds and faiths, treating everyone with dignity and compassion. In addition to our financial support of BCM, we participate in an annual canned food drive for their food pantry and the Joyous Toys event, collecting toys for children in need.
Coast for Christ Baptist Ministries, Ghana, West Africa
Members of our congregation have traveled to Ghana, West Africa to partner with CFCBM for over five years. We work the leadership team of CFCBM in determining what the needs of the villages and communities as they seek to minister holistically through healthcare, education, vocational training and spiritual growth. Individuals from the congregation and team members pay for the trip.
Cooperative Baptist Fellowship - National
The purpose of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is to serve Christians and churches as they discover and fulfill their God-given mission.
Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia
Similar to the vision of CBF-National, CBF of GA helps partner and network churches across the state of GA in discovering their mission.
Georgia Interfaith Power & Light
GIPL’s mission is “to engage communities of faith in stewardship of God’s Creation as a direct reflection of our faithfulness through worship, education, and the sustainable generation and efficient use of energy.” They have become a wonderful resource for our “Faith & the Environment” worship series this fall.
McAfee School of Theology
Peachtree is one of the founding churches of McAfee School of Theology through its support for the school while the school was being established in 1994. The school’s mission is to extend the mission of the Church in the world by equipping women and men called of God for authentic ministry, the pursuit of spiritual maturity, and the lifelong process of theological inquiry. McAfee students, alongside students from Candler School of Theology play an important part in the congregational life here at Peachtree.
Peachtree Baptist Church International Program
Our international program was started over 8 years ago from the vision of a layperson within our congregation who had a heart for those arriving in Atlanta and desiring to learn the English language. All though the program dynamics, students and teachers may change with each year, our mission is to provide a safe and loving place of learning for the global community that Atlanta welcomes each year.
Woman’s Missionary Union
The women of Peachtree have played a prominent role in equipping and educating our congregation of the needs of our community and beyond. The mission groups they represent find support and an opportunity to network through the local association of Baptist Woman’s Missionary Union.
