Patterns of Faith
January 11, 2008
January is a month of new beginnings & opportunities. Our resolutions usually include new commitments to healthy eating, working out, getting organized, etc. What about making a commitment about your spiritual growth for this new year? From January through March, our church emphasis is called Patterns of Faith. Our desire is to offer opportunities for you to learn, explore and practice new spiritual practices into your own personal faith journey. Here are some opportunities for you to be a part of:
- Each Sunday morning at 9:15 am, we will gather in the sanctuary for the celebration of the Eucharist (communion).
- Some in our community are reading and participating in a study using Richard Foster’s Celebration of Discipline book. It’s a great resource!
- Our first annual churchwide retreat will be held February 22nd-24th at Rock Eagle. Loyd Allen from the McAfee School of Theology will be leading in our gathering times. Jonathan and Susan Barlow will be working with our youth & children.
- Each Sunday, our worship services are planned around a theme of spiritual formation. This Sunday, January 13th will be on meditation.
We would love for you to come and explore these practices together with us!
